Assistant Coach 16 National 2 for the 2026-2027 season.
Coach Kira has always had a love for sports and competitiveness. Growing up she played a variety of different sports including volleyball and basketball. Her passion for volleyball didn’t truly develop until after high school, where she played recreationally in college and was able to focus on her own skills and how to develop them. This is where her love for coaching truly began. She worked with her teammates to help them improve and encouraged them to advocate for their own spaces to play competitively.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Psychology and Statistics, she started coaching high school volleyball in Adams 12, and middle school volleyball through the City of Westminster. She has played a variety of different positions, from middle blocker to setter to outside and this is her 4th year coaching. Quanda Allen

She was primarily a middle blocker before shifting to right side later in high school. She also played those same positions for her club team her 18s year. Quanda was a three-sport athlete through high school but ultimately followed her love for volleyball to college.
Quanda played college volleyball on scholarship in Southern Illinois where she played all 4 years of undergrad as a middle hitter. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Corporate Communications. She is now working in the fields of marketing and project management while also running a small hand poured candle business, Illuminare by MAD.

Volleyball has played such an integral role in Quanda’s life, and she is ecstatic to get to be around the sport again. Her coaching motto is that the court has lessons to share, it is the coach’s job to help
players learn while developing their inherent skills; she is so excited to work with the players and the other coaches.

She began playing in middle school and continued throughout her high school career as a starting setter. After playing as the starting Defensive Specialist on a college team in Boston MA, her time on the court was cut short due to an injury. Taking a break from the sport, she then decided to return to her hometown and continue her education to pursue a career in the dental field. However, she is now part of multiple women’s and coed leagues around the state and still plays 3-4 times a week. Still having just as much fun and getting the same feeling of excitement as she did from day one.
This will be her 6th year of coaching and she is beyond ecstatic to be a part of the Infinity Volleyball coaching staff. She enjoys just being around the game and looks back fondly on her coaches throughout her volleyball experience and still uses everything she learned from them to continue to become a better player and keep that love for the game. Danett Hernandez
Head Coach of 12 Regional for the 2026-2027 season
With over five years of dedicated coaching experience, this marks Danett's 4th season as the Head Coach for The Academy of Charter Schools Middle School Volleyball Program, following a successful year as an Assistant Coach with the program. Under her leadership, the program has consistently thrived—with one of her three teams taking 1st place in the division every single year. In addition to her middle school leadership, she served as a float coach for Infinity Volleyball Club last season, concluding the year as an Assistant Coach for the 16 National 1 team.
Danett's personal playing journey began on the court in middle school and continued through her freshman year of high school until a sudden injury shifted her path away from playing. Years later, her passion for the sport was fully reignited when her daughter expressed a desire to play in the 6th grade (she is now a sophomore!). Watching her step onto the court inspired Danett to re-immerse herself in the sport, master modern tactical strategies, and step into coaching to mentor the next generation of athletes.
Off the court, Danett holds a Master’s Degree in Business with a focus in Healthcare. Her background spans hands-on experience in medical assisting and over 15 years as a Healthcare Informaticist. This extensive professional background in health systems, data analytics, and workflow optimization directly informs her coaching style—bringing structured communication, strategic decision-making, and a sharp focus on physical durability and athlete safety to every practice.
Coaching Philosophy:
While she is proud of her division titles, her ultimate goal as a coach goes far beyond wins and losses. Danett is deeply committed to developing well-rounded athletes who grow both on and off the court.
